Vegetables dressed for a Victorian gala, and the realist approach makes the premise land perfectly: each figure observed with the care that the genre demands, the period costumes and social arrangements of the gala scene handled with enough detail to make the absurdity entirely convincing. A canvas that takes the whimsical premise with complete formal seriousness, which is the only way it works.

Kitchen wall decor for homes where period style and a genuine sense of humour occupy the same space. Works in a kitchen where a richly detailed, realist canvas about a vegetable gala earns its place on the wall, and in a dining room where a piece with this much character and craft sets the tone with genuine distinction. An elegant and amusing piece.
