      Slow Imagined Landscape - drawing

Slow Imagined Landscape is an abstract artwork of a fantasy countryside.

I felt restless because I had been working on a big project for weeks and needed a break. So, I just wanted to create something but didn't want to spend much time on it. That's when I remembered my coloured pencils.

"A drawing should do," I thought to myself. And so, I began sketching. I started with a few lines, but I should have known myself better. This is because I am not capable of creating fast. "Fast" is not in my vocabulary.

And this is why I soon realized that my plan to create something fast and with little work had backfired. I have spent a whole week working on the small drawing! There were hours of sketching and perfecting every detail. Drawing is one of the slowest art techniques, and I had underestimated the time it would take to create this small piece.

Plus, every new project involves lots of thinking about the artwork. In fact, you never stop thinking about it. You would be busy figuring out the best way to put the colours where they belong and similar thoughts. Then, after that, it takes you quite a few hours to photograph, describe your work (like writing this description!), and do many other things connected with it.

But I could not give up easily and finally finished the drawing. It was a small piece that had taken me a long time to complete. I was proud of myself for not giving up and for taking the time to create something beautiful; I called it "Slow Imagined Landscape".

I was sort of pleased with my creation. It was abstract but had a certain charm to it. I quickly added some varnish to the drawing. It was done!

The Slow Imagined Landscape turned out well. My friends love the abstract artwork of the fantasy countryside. They say they are amazed by the colours and the organic abstract style. It is a piece that speaks to everyone in its own unique way.

The small creation brought joy to viewers. This makes me happy. There were also some lessons that I have learned. I have learned that most of the time, creating a new piece of art takes time and patience. I have also learned to never underestimate the power of coloured pencils and the beauty of a slow and deliberate creative process.

So, here is the Slow Imagined Landscape :) It does not exist anywhere, and it is abstracted. Please enjoy viewing it!
