As the ferry made its way through the Sound of Mull, my eyes were drawn to a small, white lighthouse perched atop a rocky outcrop. The lighthouse seemed to be a beacon of hope, guiding ships safely through the treacherous waters of the Sound.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003e\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\" data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"\u003eI knew I had to capture this moment on canvas, so I took out my camera and snapped several photos for reference. When I returned to my studio, I began to paint, using the photos as a guide.
