      Govan Rider

      This pendant is based on the mounted warrior carved on the side of a stone sarcophagus from Govan, near Glasgow. This site was at the heart of the early mediaeval kingdom of Strathclyde. The carving of the mounted warrior is thought to date from the 9th century, and may represent the founder of the church of St Constantine, which was on the site of the current church.

      Designed and cast in lead free pewter by us in Scotland.

      The pendant measuers 44mm long and 32mm wide and weighs 21g.
